*Before you read my post, I want to have a heart to heart with you. I am not a SELLER. My job is not to get you to buy things, my job is to help you succeed at Pinterest and Social Media Marketing!
Now yes, I do have affiliate links posted to my blog, that will help my family with a little extra income at no extra cost to you, so if you do purchase anything I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart.
However, I don’t like it when people pressure me to buy things so I promise not to do that to you, but…. if you pressure me to buy some Girl Scout Cookies, I may cave in! 🙋‍♀️

Point is, yes, I will absolutely recommend products or companies that I trust and believe will also help you succeed! If you have ANY questions at all, and I mean AT ALL please e-mail me at mrslindsclark@gmail.com 🙂

Ok, now that that is over with, let’s get to the good stuff!!

It’s 2020 friends, the time to start a blog is now, and if you have plans on being serious about your blog, you absolutely want to make some investments that will make your blog pop!

Let’s be real here, the word investment can be intimidating. Especially when it’s for something that’s new, or maybe it’s not new, maybe you’ve had a blog for years, but you’ve recently decided you want to up your game and use it for business purposes too.

If you can relate to either one of those situations, then you, my friend, are in the right place!

Before I tell you my favorite investments I have made for my blog, I want to point something out!

  • Do your research! Even though I am recommending services to you, I use and LOVE, that doesn’t mean they are right for you! Although when it comes to blogging, most investments don’t cost thousands of dollars, they still do cost money, so you want to make sure it’s a good fit for you and your blog/business.
  • Decide what your purpose is for blogging, are you blogging for a hobby perhaps just for fun? If you are, that’s great! I congratulate you on doing something for yourself, I would just decide what investments are worth the money if you aren’t planning on making money. Make sense?

5 investments to makes for you blog

Blog Investments that were ABSOLUTELY worth the money:

Siteground: Website Hosting Services –

You have probably heard this a million times by now, but purchasing hosting services for your blog is by far the most important thing you can do! If you have any plans on using affiliate links, custom domains, looking like you mean business basically, then you need to purchase hosting!

The good news is there are hundreds of hosting services out there, the hard part is which one to choose. I have used three different hosting companies, Dreamhost, Bluehost, and Siteground! My best experience hands down have been with Siteground, they offer excellent and fair hosting prices and the best customer service.

Every time I have needed assistance, they are available very quickly via chat, and they are always willing to fix whatever I need help with for me! That is a HUGE help for someone like me!

Purchasing a Domain

One might say this investment is the most important! In order to monetize your blog in other words (make money using affiliate links), you need to have your own domain and hosting, as talked about above!

Just do your research and make sure the domain isn’t too similar to someone else’s blog or business, and make sure you like it of course! I also use Siteground for purchasing my domain!

PicMonkey

The amount of times I have recommended PicMonkey is… well let’s just say I can’t remember. I LOVE it!!!!! I have used PicMonkey for over five years! Their interface is simple, which means if you aren’t tech-savvy you can use it! They are always adding new pictures, designs, and templates! I highly recommend using them especially if you will be making Pinterest pins on the daily or weekly!

Canva

Canva is a lot like PicMonkey. I love it! They have thousands of options for pictures, templates, elements, backgrounds, etc. If I am being honest, I use both PicMonkey and Canva! Combined they give me all the choices I need to run my business! Canva can be free but if you want a few of their upgraded features, you will have to pay! It’s completely worth it, and will NOT break your bank!

Tailwind

What would I do without Tailwind??? Truthfully I don’t even know. Have you ever scrolled through Pinterest looking at blog posts that say “Tailwind is the #1 App for scheduling your pins?” At least something like that? Have you ever thought to yourself, “What’s the big deal?”

Here is why entrepreneurs love Tailwind so much. Most entrepreneurs and bloggers rely on Pinterest to advertise their content. I can almost guarantee that 99.99% of business owners would prefer to use Pinterest over any other platform. With that being said, I highly suggest you try a free trial! Tailwind’s free trial is also a credit card free. Barely any companies offer that these days! Try it! If you don’t like it, it’s risk-free!

If it sounds like I am trying to sell Tailwind to you, it’s because I am! I promise it’s worth every penny!

Wrapping Up:

  • Invest in products or companies that will make your life easier or that will make your company or blog better.
  • Don’t forget to do your research, as I mentioned above, I wholeheartedly believe that all of these companies believe in creators and want to see them succeed, but that doesn’t mean they are the best match for you!
  • Give them a try!
